QS: With the QS system, the agricultural and food industry launched a quality assurance system in 2001 that covers all stages of production and trade of meat and meat products – from the farmer to the shop counter. To this day, this system is organized by QS Qualität und Sicherheit GmbH. The company is supported by five shareholders. These represent the operators who produce and market meat and meat-based products.
