In the postpartum period with newborn puppies, many bitches turn into spoiled divas - and that is their good right. Unfortunately, they often refuse their usual feed, eat only treats or even fast. Many bitches may also refuse to leave the whelping box and their puppies, which then inevitably means 'breakfast in bed', as the bitch has a significantly increased basal metabolic rate in the weeks following birth, which needs to be taken care of.
Together with breeders, cdVet has developed ProBreeder Queen Mum, a high-calorie smoothie. ProBreeder Queen Mum replenishes the mineral balance after birth with valuable ingredients, provides the necessary energy and at the same time revitalizes in case of exhaustion.
Expert tip: The smoothie can either be licked up from the bowl by the bitch herself lying in the whelping box or fed directly into the bitch's mouth using a syringe (100 ml) if she does not want to eat.

Feeding recommendation: Small dogs (1-10 kg): 5 g/25 ml liquid. Medium-sized dogs (10-25 kg): 10 g/50 ml liquid. Large dogs (>25 kg): 20 g/100 ml liquid. 1 tsp. is ca. 3.5 g. Preparation as a smoothie: Mix the powder well with the liquid until there are no more lumps. Generally, lukewarm water is sufficient for mixing. If you have problems with acceptance, you can also use bone broth, yoghurt or similar.
