Propolis is a bee product. It is used as a building material for the beehive. Plant resins are the basic material from which the so-called putty resin is made. It is made up of many different substances. These include e. g. vitamins, amino acids, fatty acids, trace elements, and flavonoids.
Although our animals come into constant contact with bacteria, viruses, and fungi, they normally remain healthy. To achieve this, the immune system is always on alert. Pathogens that enter the body are identified and destroyed. However, stress, environmental influences, and the natural aging process weaken the immune system and thus the body‘s own defenses. Pathogens have an easy game and our animals become ill. The valuable ingredients in propolis can effectively support the immune system in its work.
Flavonoids
Propolis is particularly rich in flavonoids. Flavonoids are natural plant substances and strengthen the immune system. They also act as `radical scavengers´. Free radicals are highly aggressive and can cause lasting damage to cells. Flavonoids protect the cells from the attacks of free radicals and keep the organism young. The younger the organism is, the better the immune system functions.
Vitamins, minerals, and trace elements
But it‘s not just the flavonoids that make propolis so beneficial. Propolis contains a variety of nutrients that the body needs. Vitamins are involved in various biochemical reactions in the body. They influence the metabolism, strengthen the organism, and have a beneficial effect on the nervous system. In addition, propolis is rich in valuable minerals and trace elements such as magnesium, calcium, silicon, zinc, and iron, to name just a few. They not only support the immune system in addition to the flavonoids, but are also required by the body for a variety of metabolic processes. They make a valuable contribution to the development of muscles and bones, and play a key role in the regeneration of cells.

Additives/kg: Technological additives: bentonite (1m558i) 450 g.
The total amount of bentonite must not exceed the permitted maximum level in complete feedingstuff of 20000 mg/kg of complete feedingstuff.

Feeding recommendation (powder): Add 1 x daily to the feed. Rodents: 1 knife point. Dogs, cats: 2 g/10 kg body weight. Horses: 1.8 g/100 kg body weight. 1 half tsp. corresponds to approx. ca. 1.8 g. Maximum amount of PropolisHerbal: 44 g/kg of complete feedingstuff.
Feeding recommendation (capsules): Feed 1 x daily. Cats, dogs (bis 10 kg): 2 capsules/5 kg body weight. Capsule filling quantity: ca. 0,53 g. Maximum amount of PropolisHerbal: 44 g/kg of complete feedingstuff.
The simultaneous oral use with macrolides shall be avoided.
