Atemwege bei Hunden und Katzen

Als absolute Lauf- und Sprungtiere mit Spaß an der Bewegung kennen wir unsere vierbeinigen Weggefährten. Egal ob Hund oder Katze - Sie alle lieben es zu rennen, zu toben und sich ständig selbst neu herauszufordern. Damit der Körper diese teilweise schon artistisch anmutenden Bewegungen auch ausführen kann, braucht es vor allem eins: Sauerstoff. Doch es reicht schon häufig eine Kleinigkeit: die zu trockene Heizungsluft im Winter oder das nasskalte Wetter im Herbst. Das empfindliche Gleichgewicht gerät aus den Fugen. Funktionieren die Atemwege nicht richtig, merkt man unseren Fellnasen und Samtpfoten das recht schnell deutlich an. Aus Bewegungslust wird Frust.

Atemwege bei Pferden - Symptome

Jedes vierte Pferd in Deutschland leidet mittlerweile an Husten, die Tendenz ist steigend. Bei etwa zehn Prozent geht die Erkrankung in die chronische Form über. Damit es gar nicht erst so weit kommt, sollten die Anzeichen rechtzeitig erkannt werden. Wenn unsere Pferde weniger leistungsfähig sind, besteht häufig ein Zusammenhang mit einer Atemwegsempfindlichkeit, da dem Pferd weniger Sauerstoff zur Energieherstellung zur Verfügung steht. Auch Husten, Nasenausfluss, leicht erhöhte Atemfrequenz, Ausbildung einer Dampfrinne, Atemnebengeräusche, Keuchen und Fieber sprechen für Atemwegsprobleme. Ursächlich können hier Viren, Bakterien, Parasiten aber auch Allergien sein. Neben der Überprüfung von Umweltfaktoren, wie den Haltungsbedingungen, Bewegungsmangel etc. können wertvolle, natürliche Kräuter wohltuende Wirkungen entfalten.

We know our four-legged companions as absolute running and jumping animals who love to move. Whether dog or cat - they all love to run, romp and constantly challenge themselves. Respiratory tract in horses - symptoms

One in four horses in Germany now suffers from a cough, and the trend is rising. In around ten percent of cases, the disease becomes chronic. To prevent it from getting that far in the first place, the signs should be recognized in good time. When our horses are less efficient, there is often a connection with respiratory sensitivity, as the horse has less oxygen available to produce energy. Coughing, nasal discharge, slightly increased respiratory rate, formation of a vapor channel, respiratory noises, wheezing and fever are also signs of respiratory problemse.

This can be caused by viruses, bacteria, parasites and allergies. In addition to checking environmental factors such as husbandry conditions, lack of exercise, etc., valuable natural herbs can have beneficial effects.
